GREEN LIVING HOUSES
Hydroponic
The pros and cons of using the hydroponic method
Pros=
-
Grow faster (Caused by the nutritional water that is made from various nutrient and minerals)
-
Cleaner because we don't use soil media
-
Better in aesthetic
-
Less effort than using soil media.
-
More personal space (plants do not need to compete with each other for root space)
Cons
-
Its quite expensive
-
Learning curve ( It might take a while to get used to the method. From setup to constant monitoring and be prepared to spend some time with the technicalities)
-
Equipment failure ( If a piece of the system fails, like a water pump, your plants can be killed off within a matter of hours. Without soil, there is no water or nutrient storage for plants to feed off of.)
Pros and Cons
1. Net Pot Hydroponic
The net pot hydroponic is used for small types of vegetables like spinach, kale, celery, chinese broccoli, and others
2. Bucket Hydroponic
The bucket hydroponic is used for bigger types of fruits and vegetables like watermelon, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and others
Main types of hydroponic
Here is a video tutorial on how to plant in net pot hydroponic

How to grow seeds for hydroponics
-
Netpot
-
Cut the rockwool into small blocks (height:3cm , width= 1.5 cm, length = 2 cm (don’t be too paranoid with the size))
-
Put the rockwool on a tray, plant the seeds in the rockwool(1 cm deep), leave a little opening, place it in the netpot and provide enough nutritional water (Using nutritional water will produce faster results and to bring out the plant’s maximum potential rather than using tap water.)
-
Then put the result in a dark room (filled with nutritional water). (Why? Let's say that the seed is planted in soil media, the seed is still underground.)
-
2 small leaves will grow out of the seed. Then, sunbathe the result of the seeding for 3-4 hours. After sunbathing, put it in a room with little sunlight.
-
2 more leaves will grow out, we can now put it in the hydroponic.
-
Fill 10 liters of water in the bucket, add nutritional water A and B according to the instructions. Put the water pump in the bucket and connect it to the hydroponic system.
-
And we are all done, don't forget to check your hydroponic daily and see if there are any problems.

After 2-3 leaves have grown out, sunbathe the rockwool for 3-4 hours.
-
After 5-7 leaves have grown out, put the rockwool in a bucket filled with hydroton.
-
Make sure that nutritional water flows in the bucket.
