GREEN LIVING HOUSES
Things to Think About Before Starting
Things that you need to think about before planting=
-
Growing zone (your growing zone refers to the area or zone in which your geographical region falls, and the average temperature and frost patterns that region experiences.)
2. The Soil (Soil quality is the foundation your plants build up on, You want this foundation to be strong and full of the right kind and amount of nutrients needed to grow strong and healthy plants.)
4. Sunlight exposure, there are 4 Types of Sun Exposure for Plants=
A. Full sun – At least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day
B. Partial sun – Needs between 3 and 6 hours of direct sunlight per day
C. Partial shade – Needs between 3 and 6 hours of sunlight per day, but do not do well under direct mid-day sun.
D. Full shade – Requires less than 3 hours of direct sunlight per day
You can put a thin layer of dark cloth to cover the plant after its sunbathe.
3. Giving space between the plants so that they don’t compete for root growth and so that they dont compete with each other. It is easy for disease to spread from one plant to another if the plants are growing on top of one another, so plants growing too closely together are not as healthy as plants with enough space.
